Sharjeel demands strict punishment for spreading false news on YouTube

Sindh’s Senior Minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has stated that individuals spreading false news or making baseless allegations on YouTube should face strict punishment.
While inaugurating the trading session at the Pakistan Stock Exchange in Karachi by ringing the bell, Memon emphasized the role of the media in combating fake news.
He criticized the trend of prioritizing breaking news without considering its consequences, urging media houses to act responsibly.
Speaking on development projects, Memon highlighted that Punjab is a part of Pakistan, not a rival, and praised its initiatives.
He announced that Sindh would begin with 1,000 pink scooters for women’s transport, aiming to expand this number significantly. He also noted that the Sindh government has provided 200,000 solar panels and is constructing 2.1 million houses, with 750,000 already completed.
The construction rate stands at 50,000 houses per month, with 100,000 individuals trained for the housing sector.

Regarding the economy, Memon dismissed notions of political unrest in Pakistan and stressed the need to focus on economic growth.
He welcomed the rising confidence of local and foreign investors in the Pakistan Stock Exchange, noting an 86% growth.
He underscored the importance of creating a conducive investment environment and promoting collaboration between public and private sectors for sustainable economic progress.
