Shaukat Yousafzai, a prominent member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), claimed that 35 of his party colleagues signed affidavits to receive their victory notifications.

Speaking to a private mews channel, he stated that by 11 pm he had already secured his win, but the Deputy Commissioner (DC) insisted that he submit an affidavit before receiving the notification.

"I asked what an affidavit is, and the DC explained that without it, the notification could not be issued," Yousafzai said.

He further elaborated that the affidavit required him to agree that he would follow whatever the authorities instructed him to do in the future.

To this, he responded that he wouldn't accept such a paper, emphasizing that PTI votes should reflect PTI’s policies, not others'.

He also noted that those who signed the affidavits and received their notifications were likely to make compromises later on.

Reflecting on the situation, he mentioned that on November 26, two different directions within the party were evident, signaling a weakness in PTI's leadership.

Yousafzai criticized the leadership for not providing a clear roadmap earlier, questioning why they had failed to define the party's future course.

He called for an inquiry into how and why the issue of "Sangjani" arose, as well as who instigated the rumors.

He pointed out that when PTI's founder claimed not to have ment 'Sangjani", the question remained as to who had raised the issue, suggesting it may have been introduced by Barrister Gohar or someone close to him.
