Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and former ambassador Sherry Rehman confronted Sky News anchor Yalda Hakim for justifying Indian attacks on Pakistan's civilian population. Hakim, reportedly a close friend of a BJP leader, sparked a heated exchange during a recent broadcast.
Rehman appeared visibly frustrated as Hakim repeatedly cited pro-Indian analysts and data from an organisation to claim Pakistan supported terrorists, aiming to legitimise India's military offensive in May.
Rehman challenged the credibility of Hakim's sources, questioning, "There are 100 insurgencies going on in India. Are we responsible for what goes on there?"
Hakim further asserted that family members of Jaish-e-Muhammad were killed in an Indian strike in Bahawalpur, describing it as a "massive terrorist organisation that focuses on attacks in Kashmir."

Rehman fiercely retorted, "Children are not leaders; this is an act of collective punishment," referring to the deaths of young boys and girls in Indian attacks on Bahawalpur and Azad Kashmir on May 9.
Rehman highlighted that a UN mission had visited Pakistan and found civilian structures like hospitals and mosques among the rubble at the sites of India's "provocative attacks," inviting Hakim to witness the destruction firsthand.
She then questioned the anchor's logic, asking, "If you are talking about collective punishment, should we be bombing Kulbhushan Yadav’s family, who was serving Indian military officer arrested from Balochistan?"

Rehman also called out Yalda Hakim for repeatedly relying on analysts "strongly aligned with India’s narrative," lamenting Pakistan's inability to effectively present its own story.
She further stressed that Pakistan has already banned the terrorist outfits Hakim mentioned and has arrested over 2,000 individuals associated with these groups.
Earlier, Yalda Hakim's was widely criticised for her perceived bias during a panel discussion on escalating India-Pakistan tensions, where she was accused of aggressive questioning towards Pakistani representatives while being lenient with Indian counterparts, one of whom was later revealed to be her friend
