Pakistan Army contingents currently deployed at the D Chowk in Islamabad, used loudspeakers to urge PTI protesters to remain peaceful, ensuring them that the “army won’t sh*ot at its own people.”

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers reached D Chowk in Islamabad after encountering shelling and roadblocks at various places.

Videos on social media showed protesters standing on containers that were placed to block their entry into the red zone.

Journalists and reporters on the ground stated that the police and paramilitary forces withdrew from their positions after PTI workers outnumbered them.
