Former Governor and Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Kamran Tessori has appealed to the President, Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister to take immediate action for the release of Pakistani nationals held hostage by Somali pirates.

He urged the country’s leadership to implement concrete measures to secure the release of the 11 Pakistani hostages.

Kamran Tessori emphasised that the government must utilise all available resources to ensure the safe return of Pakistani citizens.

Responding to appeals from the affected families, he called on the authorities to act without delay.

The former Governor of Sindh stated that he is ready to play every possible role in efforts to recover the hostages.

He further remarked that the Pakistani individuals held aboard the vessel of the nation, and stressed that the matter requires serious and immediate attention.

The vessel Honour was seized off the coast of Somalia, a region long associated with piracy due to weak maritime enforcement and economic instability.

Somali pirate groups have historically targeted commercial ships passing through key shipping lanes in the Indian Ocean and the Gulf of Aden, often holding crews hostage in exchange for ransom.
