Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated in Adiala jail, has requested the court to allow him to consult a private dentist.
During a hearing of the £190m settlement case, held inside Adiala Jail, the former premier requested Judge Nasir Javed Rana of the accountability court for a dentist check-up.
He stated that it had been seven months since his last medical check-up.
The accountability court judge told Khan that doctors are available within the jail.
Khan requested permission from the court to see a private dentist, expressing concern that “the jail doctor might extract his teeth.”
The judge instructed him to submit an application, and the court "would then make an appropriate decision".
After submitting an application, the PTI founder was granted permission by the court to meet his wife, Bushra Bibi, during the case proceedings. The hearing was then adjourned until February 27.
Imran Khan is facing numerous legal challenges; he has already been convicted and serving multiple sentences in the cipher, Toshakhana and unlawful nikah case.
Independent candidates backed by Imran Khan achieved a landslide victory in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and secured a majority of seats in Punjab Assembly and the National Assembly, despite being barred from contesting election under the 'bat' symbol.
