A 100-year lunar calendar predicting Eid ul Fitr dates with remarkable accuracy has gone viral on social media. Since 1981, it has correctly forecasted Eid. 

Titled "When Will Eid ul Fitr Fall in Pakistan and India from 1401 AH to 1500 AH," the calendar is circulating online, predicting that the sacred festive occasion will fall on March 31 this year.

Covering a century-long period from 1981 to 2072, the calendar lists the exact dates and days for Eid each year.

Notably, all its predictions for Eid in Pakistan from 1981 to 2071 have proven to be accurate so far.

The federal government has announced a three-day holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr, from Monday, March 31, to Wednesday, April 2, as per a notification issued by the Cabinet Division.

Meanwhile, provincial governments have yet to announce their respective holiday schedules for the festive occasion.

A meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has been called in Islamabad on Sunday, March 30, to sight the moon of Shawwal.
