Pakistani security forces have killed four terrorists, including their top leader, as they attempted to cross the border from Afghanistan. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security personnel engaged the militants with precision and neutralized the threat before they could advance further.

“Our troops effectively engaged and thwarted the Khawarij’s infiltration attempt. As a result of a precise and skillful operation, four Khawarij, including their leader, a high-value target, Amjad @ Mazahim, were eliminated,” the ISPR press release stated.

Amjad was a key aide to Kharji Noor Wali, head of the Rehbari Shura of the Indian-backed Fitna al-Khawarij, and was responsible for multiple terrorist attacks in Pakistan. The Pakistani government had also placed a multi million rupee bounty on his head.

The elimination of Amjad and his accomplices underscores Pakistan’s stance on preventing Afghan soil from being used as a base for terrorism against Pakistan.

Militant infiltrations continue despite ongoing high-level discussions between Islamabad and Kabul aimed at countering terrorism and resolving cross-border security issues. However, the lack of cooperation from the Afghan Taliban has hindered meaningful progress toward peace.
