Tremors felt in parts of Karachi as 2.9-magnitude earthquake strikes

Mild earthquake tremors were felt in several parts of Karachi on Friday evening, causing panic among residents.
The tremors were reported from Shah Latif Town, Cattle Colony, Bin Qasim, Gadap Town, Landhi and adjoining areas.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the earthquake struck at around 6:00pm.
The PMD said the quake measured 2.9 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 10 kilometres. Its epicentre was located in Karachi, at 24.80°N latitude and 67.01°E longitude.
