Two RAW operatives arrested from Sahiwal

Lahore: The Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) says it has foiled terrorist plot targeting Sahiwal and Okara, arresting two suspects during an intelligence-based operation.

According to CTD officials, the suspects, identified as Abdul Aziz and Wilayat Shah, are residents of Peshawar.

The agency alleged that the two were linked to India's external intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

Officials said the operation led to the recovery of four kilograms of explosives, three improvised explosive devices (IEDs), three Kalashnikov rifles, cash and other materials allegedly intended for terrorist activities.

The CTD claimed the suspects were planning attacks in Sahiwal and Okara.

A case has been registered, and further investigations are underway to determine the extent of the alleged network and the planned attacks.
