Unprovoked Indian firing on LoC met with forceful response from Pakistan Army

Indian forces opened unprovoked fire on Pakistani posts at multiple locations along the Line of Control (LoC) on Sunday night. According to security sources, the Pakistan Army responded promptly and effectively to the aggression.
Unprovoked firing was reported in the Parnikyal, Khoi Ratta, Sharda and Khel sectors, as well as in the Neelum and Haji Per sectors.
Security sources stated that the Pakistan Army remains fully prepared to give a strong and timely response to any form of aggression from the Indian side.

Tensions escalated following the April 22 attack on tourists in the Pahalgam area of Indian-occupied Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists.
The Indian government accused Pakistan of involvement, subsequently suspending the Indus Waters Treaty and ordering the immediate evacuation of Pakistani nationals from India.
In response, Pakistan suspended the Simla Agreement and closed its airspace to Indian flights.

Pakistan offered to conduct an international investigation into the Pahalgam incident, but India has yet to respond. Meanwhile, China and Turkey expressed support for Pakistan’s position.
Meanwhile, Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United Nations urged de-escalation and warned India against initiating any armed conflict.
