After meeting with the US Consulate team, Onijah Andrew Robinson agreed to be repatriated to New York, as her renewed visa expires on February 11.
Onijah had been staying in Pakistan since October 11, 2023, after being deceived by her alleged husband, Nidal Ahmed Memon, a resident of Garden South Karachi.
A day ago, talking to a journalist, she refused to reveal her plan to return home. However, in a recent development, sources said that she agreed to be gly back to the US.

A team from the US Consulate met with Onijah at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) in Karachi on Friday. The meeting yielded a positive outcome, as the Consulate team reportedly agreed to facilitate her repatriation. The consulate was arranging her return.
During the meeting, JPMC head Professor Chunni Laal briefed the US Consulate team about her mental state and reported improvements in her condition. When she arrived, her hemoglobin was only four, and she received at least three blood transfusions, which raised it to nine.
She was also continuously monitored and treated with oral medication for her bipolar disorder.

A spokesperson of the JPMC stated that the US consulate was informed about her medicines as well.
According to the spokesperson, Onijah will be discharged from the hospital before February 11 after being cleared by the medical board.
Earlier, Onijah Andew Robinson declined to board a flight to New York, arranged by the governor of Sindh.
he was taken to the departure lounge and then to the aircraft under the supervision of police and airport security. However, she refused to board the Qatar Airways flight connecting from Doha to New York.
As the plane took off, the woman's decision to stay behind raised eyebrows among airport officials. It remains unclear what prompted her to make this choice, but it was evident that she was determined to stay in Pakistan.
