Modi sacks Lt Gen Kumar for declining orders to attack Pakistan

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi removed Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar from his post after he denied launching a military offensive against Pakistan.
The reports stated that Kumar was serving as a northern commander following the false flag operation, he was ordered to launch a military operation against Pakistan, but he avoided any action that led to his dismissal.

However, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) of India maintained that the speculations regarding Kumar’s ouster over the denial of anti-Pakistan operation were false.
He stated that some pro-Pakistan social media handles, were falsely linking his removal to internal fallout after the attack.
“Several pro-Pakistan social media accounts falsely claim that Northern Commander Lt Gen Suchindra Kumar has been removed from his post after the Pahalgam incident," the post on X read.
The PIB fact-check stated that Lt General Suchinder Kumar reached the age of retirement and was set to end his services on April 30. The authorities appointed another general to that post.

After removing Kumar from office, the Prime Minister issued a notification of deployment of Lieutenant Pratik Sharma as northern commander on Tuesday, who was set to assume charge on May 1.
Following the notification, Deputy Chief of Staff Paratik had a meeting with army officers and soldiers, where he had to face difficult questions about security breaches at Pahalgam, but he could not satisfy officers and soldiers of the Indian Army.
