The war of words between Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur and Governor Faisal Karim Kundi heated up on Saturday when the former issued fresh warnings to the latter.

The heated arguments between PTI and PPP leaders erupted when CM Gandapur threatened to occupy the Governor's house while addressing a public gathering in Dera Ismail Khan to mark the first anniversary of the May 9 riots.

“I will not remain silent for the chief minister’s seat, and if governor law is imposed, we will take over the governor’s house,” the PTI leader said.

In response, Governor Kundi said that he knew how to protest his constitutional house.

"If he [Gandapur] wants to do a rehearsal, I'm ready to do it too. He found a highway to sprint in Islamabad, here he won't even find a place to run away. I will drag him on the streets," the governor clapped back at CM.

"[...] Control your mouth and actions. I know how to deal with hooligans like you [Gandapur]," Kundi added.

However, the remarks further escalated the already heated-up situation, prompting Gandapur to issue fresh warnings.

"Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is not in such a position that he can speak. Even oil for your car is bought from our [provincial] budget," CM responded.

"I'll declare Governor House as a heritage and will turn it into a museum for the public," Gandapur added.

"I will shift you to a two-room annexe. Be within your limits. You are [a] governor you have nothing to do with politics."
