Woman missing since 2015 reunited with family in Karachi after identification

The Edhi Foundation has reunited a woman with her family after 11 years of separation.

According to the Edhi Foundation, a 12-year-old girl named Rila was found on December 15, 2015, from the Akhtar Colony area and was later shifted to the Edhi Home in Sohrab Goth for care and protection.

It said the girl remained under the care of the shelter home, and over time she grew up and is now 23 years old.

After more than a decade, the woman was finally identified by her father, Nawaz, bringing an end to years of uncertainty.

Following confirmation of her identity, the Edhi Foundation handed Rila over to her father and brother. The reunion witnessed emotional scenes as the long-separated family members met after many years.
