What's the feels-like temperature in Karachi today?

Amidst Karachi's harsh weather conditions since the beginning of summer, weather analyst Jawad Memon has predicted high temperatures in the metropolitan during the second day of a heat wave. 

Memon said Karachi is experiencing the second day of the heat wave, with daytime temperatures likely to soar from 42°C to 44°C.

However, the temperature will feel higher than the actual reading, as the weather expert believed that it will feel like 45°C to 48°C due to the high level of humidity in the air.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the humidity level in the air is 79%. 

The PMD added that the sea breeze, which provides relief to Karachiites against hot weather, is expected to be suspended, and the heat wave conditions will persist.

During this harsh weather, concerned authorities have advised citizens to stay at home and avoid unnecessary outdoor work. 

The recent heat spell has gripped the province of Sindh for the past few weeks and is forecast to prevail until the first week of June. 

It is pertinent to mention here that Sindh recorded temperatures as high as 52.2°C in Moenjodaro, Larkana, and other areas of the province at the beginning of the week.
