The main processions of 9th Muharram will be carried out today under tight security in various cities, including Karachi. In several areas, mobile phone services have been suspended and high-security zones have been sealed to ensure public safety.

In Karachi, the central 9th Muharram procession will begin at 1 pm from Nishtar Park. Prior to the procession, a majlis (religious gathering) will be held at the same venue, where renowned scholar Allama Shahenshah Hussain Naqvi is scheduled to deliver a sermon.

Following the majlis, Zuhr prayers will be led by the Umayya Students Organisation.

The procession will follow its traditional route, passing through Numaish, Saddar, Radio Pakistan, Jama Cloth Market, Denso Hall, and concluding at Hussainiya Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar. Authorities have confirmed that all necessary security arrangements have been finalised.
