Islamabad: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued an important advisory regarding the digital safety of children, emphasising that parents should actively monitor their children’s online activities.

According to the advisory, safeguarding children in the online environment is a shared responsibility of both parents and society.

To enhance online protection, the PTA recommends that parents use parental control software and content-filtering tools.

The advisory highlights growing concerns about unsafe and excessive internet use among young children, urging parents to closely supervise their children’s online behaviour.

The PTA also urged that parents should set clear limits on screen time to maintain a healthy balance between education, recreational activities, and family life.
