WhatsApp is reportedly developing a feature that would allow users to schedule messages for automatic delivery within chats, according to a beta update tracker.

The feature was identified by WABetaInfo in beta version 26.7.10.72 of WhatsApp for iOS. If introduced, the functionality is expected to work in both individual and group conversations.

Under the proposed system, users would be able to compose a message and select a specific date and time for it to be sent automatically.

Once scheduled, the message would be delivered at the chosen time without requiring further action.

Scheduled messages would reportedly appear in a dedicated “Scheduled Messages” section within the chat information screen.

From this section, users would have the option to review or delete messages before they are dispatched.

Screenshots shared by WABetaInfo show the feature being tested in a group chat environment.

However, there is no indication that the tool would be limited to group conversations, suggesting it may also be available in one-to-one chats.

The feature remains under development and is not currently accessible to beta testers. There is no official confirmation regarding a public release, and features under testing may be modified or withdrawn before launch.
