A man was allegedly burnt to death in Alipur, Multan, over a land dispute on Monday, a heinous act that has shocked the local community.

According to initial reports, four suspects tied up 18-year-old Ehsan Ullah to a tree, doused him with petrol, and set him on fire. Despite efforts to save him, Ehsan Ullah succumbed to his injuries at Nishtar Medical Hospital in Multan.

This brutal incident occurred in the area under the jurisdiction of Seet Pur police station, stemming from an ongoing land dispute. The suspects, identified as Allah Bachaya, Abdul Rasheed, Babu, and Yousuf, are now facing serious charges. Ehsan Ullah's uncle, Bashir Ahmed, filed the complaint that led to the registration of a case against these individuals.

The police are actively investigating the case to bring the perpetrators to justice. The sheer brutality of the crime has sparked outrage among the residents and calls for swift legal action against those responsible.

This tragic event is reminiscent of a similarly horrifying incident in Punjab’s Gujranwala district in 2022. In the Kamokia area, a man killed his wife by setting her on fire for failing to give birth to a son.
