Armed muggers continued to strike with impunity in the city as another 20-year-old boy was killed by robbers in Karachi.

According to police, the incident took place near Nasir Jump in Korangi area of the port city on Monday night.

The victim, identified as Abdul Basit, belonged to Quetta and came to Karachi to make ends meet for his family.

Police said that the young boy used to sell shoes on his cart in the area.

Relatives of the victim boy informed that Basit did not show any resistance to the robbers during the incident.

This tragedy marks the second fatal shooting in three days, following the killing of Irtiqa Nadeem, a gold medalist mechanical engineer, in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area on Saturday.

The recent surge in street crimes has instilled fear and insecurity among Karachi's citizens, as robbers continue to commit crimes with impunity.

According to the report published by the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC), a total of 5,789 cases of robbery were reported in the metropolis in April.

In the first four months of the ongoing year, almost 62 people were killed by dacoits for showing resistance during the robbery incidents in Karachi.

The incidents have raised concerns about the city's law and order situation, with many calling for increased security measures to prevent such crimes.
