Following unrest in Karachi, angry protesters in Mirpurkhas targeted a foreign fast-food franchise on Tuesday night, vandalizing and setting it on fire in what appears to be a continuation of demonstrations against Israeli actions in Palestine.

The incident occurred on Hyderabad Road, a prominent commercial hub in Mirpurkhas, where enraged individuals pelted stones at the franchise, shattered its glass windows, and eventually set the establishment ablaze.

A heavy police contingent swiftly responded to the scene, conducting aerial firing to disperse the crowd and bringing the situation under control.

Authorities confirmed that 11 individuals were taken into custody, and strict legal action is being pursued against those involved in damaging property and disrupting public order.

Earlier in Karachi’s Defence Khayaban-e-Ittehad, a similar attack occurred at another foreign food chain, where demonstrators smashed windows and clashed with security forces.

Police sources have attributed the incidents to public outrage over the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Palestine, with demonstrators reportedly targeting businesses perceived to have affiliations with Israel.

Law enforcement agencies have vowed to prevent further unrest and are urging citizens to express their concerns through peaceful and lawful means.
