Another university student killed over robbery resistance in Karachi

In yet another incident of street crime in Karachi, a university student was killed by dacoits for resisting robbery near Jamali Pull in the metropolis.
According to the police, the 22-year-old victim, identified as Shaikh Muhammad Nihal, was the only son of his parents.
He was a student of architecture at a private university in the port city, police informed.
In the incident, Nihal's maternal uncle, named Shaikh Muhammad Ayaz, 32, was also injured.
Ayaz, who is an eyewitness to the incident, said that they were going to their home from Saadi Town to North Nazimabad when two robbers on a motorbike intercepted them near Jamali Pull, Super Highway.
Ayaz further said that Nihal gunned down both robbers on the spot from his licensed pistol, however, in the cross-fire, the victim also lost his life.
In a similar incident in March this year, a young author Laraib was shot dead by muggers for resisting a robbery bid in the Korangi area of Karachi.
