Another young boy, named Noman Riaz, was killed by armed dacoits for resisting robbery in Karachi.

According to the details, the distressing incident took place near Dubai House in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of the port city on Thursday night.

SP Gulshan-e-Iqbal Aleem Billo confirmed to the reporters at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) that the incident occurred during robbery resistance.

He said that the two armed bandits on a motorbike tried to stop the 27-year-old victim and his friend, Ahmed, who were on their motorcycle, with the intent to rob them.

"When Noman sped up his bike, robbers shot fire at him which hit him in the chest," the police official added.

The victim was rushed to the nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds during the treatment.

Noman's father Muhammad Riaz, while talking to the media, informed that the victim was working as an electrician at a shop.

Riaz said that Noman recently passed the Physical Fitness Test for police recruitment.

"He was very happy and hopeful that he would get a job in the police department on merit," the victim's father added.

Gulistan-e-Jauhar police station ASI, Asim Siddiqui, said that the robbers also shot fire at the victim's friend Ahmed, however, he escaped the bid luckily.

Hasnain, the cousin of the slain boy, has appealed to IG Sindh, DIG East and SSP East to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident.

The surge in street crimes has instilled fear and insecurity among Karachi's citizens, as robbers continue to commit crimes with impunity.

In the first six months of the ongoing year, almost 80 people have been killed by dacoits for showing resistance during the robbery incidents in Karachi.

The incidents have raised concerns about the city's law and order situation, with many calling for increased security measures to prevent such crimes.

On the other hand, Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar has announced that he would suspend the SHO of a police station if any citizen loses their life during the robbery incident in Karachi.
