The deceased has been identified as Sameer Ali, son of Muhammad Umar, and a resident of Fatehpur, Swat. According to rescue officials, the teen was swept away by strong river currents while swimming.
Following an intensive search operation, the rescue team retrieved the body and transferred it to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Khwaza Khela, for medico-legal procedures.
Authorities have once again urged the public to avoid swimming in rivers, particularly during the monsoon season, when water levels rise and currents become dangerously strong.
