An investigation by the police revealed that a 12-year-old housemaid was brutally tortured by her employers, a husband and wife, in Rawalpindi after their daughter accused her of stealing chocolates. The minor succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday.
The young girl, identified as Iqra, suffered deep head wounds and a skull fracture, which ultimately led to her death.
According to reports, Iqra’s employers, Rashid Qureshi and his wife, allegedly beat her severely after their daughter claimed she had stolen chocolates.

A police probe revealed that Rashid’s wife struck Iqra on the head with a rolling pin used for making bread. The child was then tied up and deprived of food and water.
Authorities also found that the woman who took Iqra to the hospital in critical condition was involved with the accused couple.
Earlier, it was reported that Iqra’s father had recently passed away and that her mother was in Iddat (a mourning period), but this claim was later proven false.

Police contacted the girl’s father, who traveled to Rawalpindi to receive his daughter’s body.
Iqra’s Quran teacher stated that she had been working at Mian Rashid’s house and was seen in a deteriorated condition before her death.
