A ceremony organized by the Citizens–Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) was held at the Sindh Governor House, during which more than 100 recovered mobile phones were returned to their rightful owners.
This achievement marks the result of CPLC’s tireless efforts and close collaboration with the Karachi Mobile Electronics Dealers Association (KMEDA) and Karachi Police.
During this joint initiative, over 800 stolen and snatched mobile phones were successfully traced and recovered — a strong demonstration of effective cooperation between law enforcement and the business community.
CPLC officials expressed appreciation for the continued support of Karachi Police, whose assistance played a vital role in the recovery process.
Speaking at the event, CPLC representatives also extended gratitude to KMEDA for their ongoing partnership and emphasized the importance of public participation in preventing crime and improving urban safety.
They reaffirmed CPLC’s commitment to strengthening public security through technology, data integration, and community partnerships, ensuring transparency and rebuilding citizens’ trust.
CPLC further stressed that prompt reporting of stolen or snatched mobile phones significantly increases the chances of recovery.
Today’s event stands as another milestone in CPLC’s mission to ensure the protection and welfare of Karachi’s citizens through a transparent, organized, and technology-driven system.
