Anchorperson Muhammad Malick has claimed that the fuel and parking costs of the Punjab government aircraft used by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for her London trip amounted to more than Rs10 million in public funds.
Speaking on his TV show, Malick claimed that the aircraft incurred around Rs3.5 million in parking charges at Luton Airport for three days, while its fuel cost was estimated at approximately Rs7.8 million.
He said that CM Maryam travelled to London to attend her daughter’s graduation ceremony and used an aircraft of the Punjab government for the trip.
Resharing an X post containing the anchorperson's claims, former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry wrote, "The cost of Maryam Nawaz’s London trip for her daughter’s graduation was paid by this 'rich' nation."

Reacting to her post, Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari clarified: “Absolutely wrong. The Punjab chief minister paid all the expenses of the aircraft for her London visit out of her own pocket.”

In another X post later, Fawad said: "I just asked Grok to calculate round trip cost of Gulf Stream G 500, as per Grok it should cost around 250,000 USD, this means around 6 Crore Pak Rs, can you please provide receipts of travel and proof of funds for this luxurious trip of CM Sahiba?"
