Eid celebrations took a heartbreaking turn when four young friends drowned while swimming in the B-Feeder Canal near Al-Manzar Bridge.

Tragically, two of them lost their lives, while rescue teams managed to save the other two in a timely operation.

According to rescue officials, the group of friends had visited the canal for recreation during the Eid holidays.

The incident occurred when one of them began to struggle in the water, prompting the others to jump in to save him. In their attempt to rescue each other, all four were swept into the deep waters.

Rescue teams launched an immediate response, successfully pulling two of the youths out alive, while the bodies of the other two were later recovered. Both deceased individuals were residents of Hyderabad.

Eyewitnesses expressed frustration over the lack of safety measures at the site, pointing out that such accidents have become frequent due to negligence.

Local residents have urged the authorities to implement strict safety protocols at recreational spots to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.
