KARACHI: Suspects involved in the robbery of Rs6.5 million from the Edhi Centre in Sohrab Goth, Karachi, have yet to be arrested.

Edhi Foundation Chairman Faisal Edhi has written a letter to Sindh Chief Minister, expressing disappointment over the lack of progress in the police investigation.

In his letter, Faisal Edhi said the Rs6.5 million stolen from the Sohrab Goth Edhi Centre was meant to pay the salaries of volunteers.

He added that a case had been registered at the Samanabad police station.

Faisal Edhi urged the Sindh chief minister to direct the relevant police authorities to trace the suspects involved in the robbery and recover the stolen cash of Rs6.5 million.

Meanwhile, police said the investigation was underway.

They said all available information obtained through technical assistance had been reviewed and efforts were continuing to trace and arrest the robbers involved in the incident.
