Hafizabad student commits suicide after failing first-year exam

Hafizabad: A female student, distressed over failing her first-year examination, consumed acid in an apparent suicide attempt.
According to police, the student, identified as Tayiba, was immediately shifted to the trauma center, where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
Her father confirmed that she had failed in the first-year result, which deeply upset her and led to the tragic incident.
Earlier, a 15-year-old girl, reportedly distressed by her matriculation exam results, tragically took her own life in the Gandigar Payeen area of Upper Dir recently.
According to police reports, the student, named Anmol, had achieved 1010 marks out of a possible 1,200 in the SSC results recently released by the Malakand Board.
Despite this commendable score, she deemed her performance inadequate and, in a moment of emotional turmoil, ended her life with a firearm. She was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel declared her deceased.
Local authorities have initiated an investigation into this tragic event.
