Several people, including women and children, were trapped in flood water after heavy rains wreaked havoc in Balochistan's Makran on Tuesday.

According to weather analyst Jawad Memon, Balochistan's Gawadar and the coastal area of Makran have received 150mm of rain since morning.

However, the weatherman has forecast more rain in the province till March 4.

The videos circulated on social media showed the rainwater entering houses, shops, and offices.

The Met office predicted heavy snowfall and downpours in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Kech, Panjgur, Gawadar and parts of Balochistan.

On the other hand, Sindh's port city is expected to receive heavy rain coupled with hailstorm from March 1 (Friday) to March 4 (Monday), according to Jawad Memon.

The weatherman said that there are chance of hailstorm in some parts of the metropolis under the western wind system.

"Today [February 27] strong north-northeast winds will continue throughout the day in Karachi with breaks till evening. Wind speed will be around 30-40 kmph which will decrease gradually," Memom added.
