Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi's interim bail extended till Jan 27

A local court on Tuesday extended the interim bail of Former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife,Bushra Bibi in May 9 and other cases as well.

Both Imran Khan and his wife were directed to appear before the court either in person or through video message.

Advocate Shamsha Kayani appeared on behalf of PTI founder and Bushra Bibi to present the pre-arrest bail, however the bail was heard by the Additional district and Session Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka.

The court has accepted the pre-arrest application of bail and extended the interim bail till 27 January.However,the plea could not be argued as the Founder PTI did not appeared himself.

Earlier on December 20, Former prime minister and PTI founder, along with his wife Bushra Bibi, have been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment each.

Additionally, both were handed separate sentences of seven years each under Section 409 of the Pakistan Penal Code. In total, they have been sentenced to 17 years in prison each under the same provison. The verdict was announced by Special Judge Central Shah Rukh Arjumand.
