JI announces sit-ins in Karachi against dumpers, water tankers on Friday

Jamaat-e-Islami announces sit-ins at 13 locations across Karachi, including Shahrah-e-Faisal and MA Jinnah Road, on December 19. The protest sit-ins will begin tomorrow at 4:00 pm.

Jamaat-e-Islami has announced sit-ins at 13 locations across Karachi tomorrow, December 19, and has appealed to citizens for full participation. Jamaat-e-Islami leader Taufiquddin Siddiqui said that the sit-ins will be held against deadly dumpers and tankers in Karachi, alleged extortion in the name of e-challans, the rising number of citizen deaths due to heavy traffic, government indifference, and deteriorating infrastructure.

Taufiquddin Siddiqui stated that the sit-ins will be held at Star Gate (Shahrah-e-Faisal), MA Jinnah Road, University Road, Dawood Chowrangi, Korangi Crossing, Noorani Kabab House Chowrangi, Tibet Centre, University Road (Meteorological Department), Power House Chowrangi, Hub River Road, Paracha Chowk Sher Shah, Dolmen Mall Hyderi (North Nazimabad), Liaquatabad No. 10, Sohrab Goth, and Orangi Town No. 5.

He added that Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Ameer Munam Zafar Khan, along with deputy amirs, district, and local leaders, will address the protest sit-ins.
