The remains of Asif Kamal, a businessman from Karachi, have been retrieved from the sea close to Sea View beach. Kamal had been unaccounted for since January 29th and was discovered with stones affixed to his body.

As per police reports, Kamal was last seen leaving his residence to go to the mobile phone market in Landhi. His family subsequently lodged a missing person report, which initiated a comprehensive search throughout the city.

A fisherman found the body this morning in the vicinity of Do Darya.

Although the remains seem to be two to three days old, a post-mortem examination will clarify the precise cause and time of death.

The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) has commenced an inquiry into Kamal’s demise, considering various potential motives.
