Karachi man takes his own life after dreaming he set himself on fire

A man in Karachi's Orangi Town set himself on fire after he continuously dreamed of burning himself, according to his family. The deceased, identified as Allah Rakha, died of severe burns at the age of 60.
The incident took place in Qasba Mor near Shehzad Cinema, where the man self-immolated. He had been staying at his sister-in-law's house. According to police, he poured petrol over himself and set himself on fire.
Allah Rakha was rushed to Civil Hospital in a Chhipa ambulance but succumbed to his wounds a day later.
SHO Yousuf Maher told the media that the deceased had arrived from Pindi to Karachi a few days earlier and had been staying with his sister-in-law.
According to his sister-in-law, Allah Rakha had been dreaming about setting himself on fire for three days and had shared this with the family. She stated that he appeared very disturbed due to these visions.
On the night of November 22 and 23, Allah Rakha woke up, drenched himself in kerosene oil, and self-immolated. Police handed over the body to the deceased’s family and launched an investigation into the suicide.
