Amid an alarming increase in child abductions in Karachi, the police have issued safety guidelines for schools and seminaries to enhance the protection of children.

The measures emphasize strict oversight and precautionary actions to prevent such incidents.

According to the guidelines, children should only be allowed to leave schools or seminaries with their parents.

The advisory further recommends that parents avoid sending their children to these institutions alone and ensure supervision during travel.

This comes after a shocking kidnapping attempt in Korangi’s Bhatai Colony was thwarted when a young girl and a woman raised an alarm, forcing the abductors to flee.

The incident, which occurred in Sector D, was captured on CCTV and has since been shared widely.

The footage shows a woman walking with the girl when two men on a motorcycle approach them.

One of the men dismounts and tries to abduct the child, but the girl pulls away and starts shouting. The woman’s calls for help deter the attackers, who ultimately abandon their plan.

The incident serves as a grim reminder of the importance of vigilance and community action in ensuring children’s safety. Authorities are urging parents, educators, and the public to adhere to the safety guidelines to mitigate such risks.
