In yet another incident, a minor boy sustained injuries due to kite string in Islamabad.

According to a viral video on social media, a five-year-old boy in Islamabad started crying soon after coming out of his car's sunroof near DC Office G-11/4.

Upon crying, the father of the kid rushed him to the hospital, where he was treated for kite string wound.

Injuries due to kite strings are on the rise. 

Earlier, Kite twine claimed the life of a young motorcyclist in Faisalabad's Samanabad area a few days agk. The heart-wrenching incident took place at Novelty bridge where Asif Ashfaq, 22, fell victim to kite twine. He died within minutes of being wounded by twine. 

Punjab IGP Dr Usman Anwar took notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from the regional police office (RPO) of Faisalabad. 

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed the district administration and police to arrest the violators. She gave a 48-hour deadline to police to take action.
