Lahore: Police in the Gulberg area of Lahore have foiled a disturbing attempt to sell a five-month-old baby girl for Rs. 600,000, arresting three individuals, including the child’s parents.
According to law enforcement officials, a suspect identified as Ravi initially purchased the infant from her parents for Rs. 300,000. Subsequently, Ravi, in collaboration with two accomplices—Gul Zaib and a woman named Nirmal—attempted to resell the baby at double the price.
Acting on intelligence, police intercepted the suspects and arrested all three involved. Two mobile phones and a vehicle used in the transaction were also recovered during the operation.
