Lahore police arrest man for harassing Nigerian woman in Green Town

A young man harassed a foreign national and followed her to her residence in Lahore’s Green Town area,, according to police reports.
The victim, a Nigerian woman residing with her family in the locality, was approached by the suspect while walking home with her child. CCTV footage showing the man making inappropriate remarks and attempting to grab her.
In the video, the woman is seen cleverly engaging the man in conversation while leading him to her home. She quickly entered the house, while the suspect shamelessly rang the doorbell. When her husband appeared at the door instead, the harasser fled.
Following the woman’s complaint, DIG Operations formed a special team to apprehend the suspect.

Using Safe City cameras and CCTV footage, police identified and arrested the man, named Hasan. During custody, the suspect repeatedly apologized, saying “I’m sorry.”
The Nigerian woman commended the police and the Pakistani public for their swift response and support.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran confirmed that a case has been registered and that a strong challan will be prepared to ensure the culprit faces appropriate punishment.
