Man shoots borrower dead for mere Rs700 in Mardan

A man shot dead a borrower over failure to repay a Rs700 loan in Mardna, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

What should have been a minor issue between a lender and a borrower turned tragic in Mardan, where the demand for repayment of a mere Rs700 loan escalated to bloodshed.

According to reports, a young man named Abdul Qadeer had borrowed Rs700 from Muhammad Gul.

When Gul asked for the repayment, a heated argument ensued between the two. In a sudden fit of rage, Gul pulled out a pistol and fatally shot Abdul Qadeer on the spot.

The victim's body was later transferred to MCC Hospital for further procedures

Getting information about the incident, the police swung into action and arrested the suspect. The killing over the repayment of Rs700 has exposed intolerance in society.
