Man steals mobile phone from Karachi flat under pretext of catching parrot

In a bizarre incident in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar area, a young man stole a mobile phone from an apartment after tricking the residents with a story about catching his lost parrot.

According to reports, the incident took place near Perfume Chowk, where a teenager knocked on the door of a resident, Abdul Ghaffar, claiming that his parrot had flown into their balcony.

After being allowed to enter, the boy went to the balcony but found no parrot there.

He then distracted the homeowner, saying he would try to make the parrot fly down from the upper floor, and left.

When neither the parrot nor the boy returned after a while, the family became suspicious. Upon checking, they discovered that a mobile phone placed on the lounge table was missing.

Police are investigating the incident.
