Karachi: The father of the deceased, Mir Raza, has expressed dissatisfaction with the ongoing police investigation, alleging a lack of transparency and demanding justice for his son.
Speaking to the media, Mir Hussain said the investigation report raised serious questions about the direction of the inquiry. He criticised investigators, asking, "Are we supposed to tell the police who committed the murder?" He also questioned references to financial matters in the investigation, saying loans had been taken by many people across the country and should not divert attention from the case.
Mir Hussain claimed that police have yet to officially acknowledge that his son was murdered and said his family's statement has still not been recorded.
He alleged that the police communicate one version of events to the family while presenting a different narrative publicly.
He further questioned the absence of Dr. Osama, the doctor who conducted the post-mortem examination, and called for an explanation.
Expressing the family's distress over the exhumation of his son's body, he said they had already endured immense suffering and were deeply pained by the decision.
The grieving father also urged investigators to determine why his son's identity had allegedly been altered or erased, insisting that the matter be thoroughly investigated.
Mir Hussain added that the family only received the investigation report after media coverage of the case prompted authorities to provide it, reiterating his demand for a transparent investigation and justice.
