Nationwide hailstorm, rain forecast until April 4

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Monday released an advisory on the weather forecast, indicating that rain, wind, and thunderstorms are expected to occur in various areas of the country from April 1 to April 4.
According to the statement released by the PMD, the following weather is expected during the mentioned period:
Heavy rain/thunderstorms with isolated hailstorms are expected in the following areas of Balochistan during the mentioned period: Panjgur, Turbat, Kech, Awaran, Makran Coast, Lasbella, and many other areas.
It is also mentioned that during the mentioned period, there are also some gaps in the rain. According to the statement released by the PMD, the following weather is also expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:
Heavy rain/thunderstorms with snowfall over the mountains are expected in the following areas during the mentioned period: Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kalam, and many other areas. Heavy falls with hailstorms are also expected in some areas.

In Punjab and Islamabad, rain, wind, and thunderstorms with isolated hailstorms were expected to occur in Murree, Galiyat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sargodha, and other districts. Heavy rains were likely to occur in Dera Ghazi Khan and its surrounding areas, the PMD said.
In Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, rain, wind, and thunderstorms with snowfall in the mountainous areas were expected to occur. Isolated hailstorms and heavy rainfall were also expected to occur in the region.
In Sindh, including Karachi, Thatta, Badin, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and other districts, rain, wind, and thunderstorms with isolated hailstorms were expected to occur during the period from April 2 to April 4 with occasional gaps in the rainfall.
In northeast Balochistan, including Khuzdar, Awaran, Kharan, and other districts, flash floods were expected to occur. Flash floods were also expected to occur in local streams and nullahs in K-P during the period from April 2 to April 4.
Regions in upper K-P, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir were vulnerable to landslides during the period. Windstorms and hailstorms might cause damage to weak structures such as electric poles, billboards, and solar panels. Farmers were advised to take protective measures to shield their crops from the inclement weather, stated the PMD advisory.
