NCCIA issued notices in Imaan, husband appeals

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday issued notices on appeals against the conviction of Advocate Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha in the controversial tweets case.

The court also issued notices to respondents on pleas for suspension of the sentence of both and sought their response.

Justice Muhammad Asif heard appeals against the conviction of the two accused. Faisal Siddiqui, Zainab Janjua, and others appeared on behalf of Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha.

The lawyer for the petitioner said that the next hearing should be scheduled soon.
