CDF Field Marshal Munir held talks with General Bayraktaroglu, Chief of the Turkish Army at GHQ. The talks highlighted the longstanding strategic partnership between Turkey and Pakistan.

General Bayraktaroglu was received with a guard of honor upon his arrival at GHQ. During the meeting, both military leaders discussed the current regional and global security landscape.

Furthermore, they also talked about areas of mutual interest and how to further strengthen military cooperation.

According to ISPR, the discussions reflected satisfaction with the positive Pakistan–Turkey relations, with both sides stressing on the importance of enhanced defense collaboration.

Moreover, Field Marshal Munir talked about brotherly ties between Pakistan and Turkey, rooted in shared history. He also appreciated the support extended by the Turkish armed forces.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening military-to-military relations.

General Bayraktaroglu, in turn, thanked Pakistan for the warm welcome and praised the professionalism of the Pakistan armed forces. He emphasized on Turkey’s promise to enhance defense ties, particularly through training and joint exercises.
