Police arrest man for assaulting child in Karachi’s Johar Complex

Karachi police apprehended a suspect who was filmed assaulting a child. The video, which went viral on social media Monday, sparked widespread outrage and calls for the perpetrator's arrest.
The disturbing footage, shared on X, showed the man violently pushing a child, grabbing his hair, while another child repeatedly beat him.
The boy can be heard screaming, but the attackers continued to beat him.
The incident occurred at Johar Complex, a residential area in Karachi near Mosmiyat, which falls under the jurisdiction of Sach police station.
While the police identified the victim as Sami Alvi, the son of Shafiullah Alvi, further investigation is underway.
The reason for the assault on the child has not yet been disclosed.

Earlier, a young man was brutally tortured by a group of armed men including two police officials over a parking issue in Kashmir Colony neighbourhood of Karachi’s Mehmoodabad area.
A group of influential persons have brutally tortured a young man on a street of Kashmir Colony over refusing to move his parked motorcycle.
The young man was identified as Usama, who sustained severe injuries on his body and face which could leave him blind in one eye.
