A police case has been filed, and raids have been conducted to arrest the accused because a bus attendant has been reportedly raped in the area of Pirwadhai in Rawalpindi.
According to the police, the victim, whose name is R.S., told the authorities in the complaint that she is from the Layyah district and works as a bus attendant for various companies' buses. She had come to her native place in Layyah on leave but was on her way back to Rawalpindi on board the same bus.
She informed that since the roads were closed due to some reasons, she got off from the bus at Tarnol and met a person named Ashraf who gave her a ride to Pirwadhai and dropped her at Gilani Hotel.
As she felt tired, she booked a room in the hotel on the ground floor and was taking rest when someone knocked at the door. As she answered, a suspect as named in the FIR entered the room and gagged her to make her silent and then forced her to take some substance which put her to sleep.
She alleged that in that state, the suspect sexually assaulted her and fled, leaving her unconscious. She further claimed that the accused inflicted injuries on various parts of her body with his nails. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
The victim's name has been withheld to protect identity.
