PTCL warns of internet disruption during evenings from May 11-18

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited, in an official statement posted on X, informed its customers that they would experience disruptions in their internet services during evenings from May 11-18.

According to the statement by PTCL, "due to the maintenance work to be carried out from tomorrow (May 8) on one of our Submarine Cables in order to repair the fault in our network caused by the International Cable Consortium, which can last up to seven days, our customers may experience disruptions in their internet services."

In an earlier statement dated April 11, 2026, the telecommunication company informed customers that maintenance work was planned to be undertaken in one of its submarine cables to repair a fault caused by the consortium.

According to PTCL, the maintenance activity, which was to commence on April 14, 2026, would last till April 20, 2026. Inconvenience caused due to this was regretted by the company.
