A robber attempted to steal an Edhi Foundation ambulance at Sea View in Karachi but he was thwarted by the public after crashing the vehicle into an electricity pole.

According to reports, the ambulance driver had stepped out to use a washroom when the suspect seized the opportunity and drove off with the vehicle. 

Upon realising the theft, the driver shouted for help, prompting bystanders to intervene.

As the public tried to stop the ambulance, the suspect lost control, ramming it into an electricity pole and a parked white Corolla. 

The crowd apprehended the robber, surrounded him and recorded videos of the incident before police arrived. The robber was then handed over to law enforcement.

Street crimes continue to plague the port city, with authorities failing to implement an effective strategy to curb criminal activities. Despite the worsening law and order situation, police officials maintain that the number of robberies has declined.
